A.Tim
is flexing his calf, standing on his toes. Even in the early stage of
contraction, Tim's calf is surprisingly muscular. |
B.
Flexing it a little harder. The ridge at the bottom of his calf becomes
much deeper and sharper. The tendon coming down from the back of the knee
seems to be pushed out by the expanding size of Tim's calf. |
C.
Same but grabbing a frame from the tape allows us to capture his fast-twitch
muscles at peak contraction - something that is nearly impossible with
a still camera. Years of training have made Tim's calf rock hard and fantastically
strong. |
