A Day In The Life of... Kevin Zegers

You've already seen blue-eyed Canadian Kevin Zegers in Disney's 1997 movie Air Bud and in its 1998 sequel, Air Bud: Golden Receiver. Now, you can see this 15-year-old cutie in Fox Family Channel's TV movie Time Share, which will air on June 18. We visited Kevin on the beach where he plays Thomas Sullivan, a girl-crazy kind of guy, and he was psyched to share his on-set life secrets with us.

I woke up at, like, 9 a.m., and I played basketball and worked out in the morning until 11 o'clock, and then I ate breakfast--Honey Nut Cheerios. I got picked up at 11:30 by Russell, our driver, and we went to the set, but they weren't ready for me, so I did my three hours of school before work, in the trailer with the tutor. I finished a French composition. I wrote three poems, 'cause I have, like, a little poetry book that I have to hand in at the end of the year. [Finally,] I went to the set and we did, I think, one scene before lunch.

[Since] crew call wasn't until noon, we ate lunch at 6 o'clock at night! I ate a Caesar salad and spaghetti and a little bit of chicken for lunch. Then, they have this little bike [on the studio lot], and I went biking to burn off my lunch. So I biked around the parking lot a few times and then called my friend who had surgery. He got hit from behind in hockey -- [which is] why I don't like hockey much, anymore. Around 7:30 p.m., I called [a friend], and
asked her about her exams, because she had just taken exams.

Anyway, they called me to the set, and we did a sleeping scene, where we were all sleeping on the floor. So I actually slept during the scene; I had a good nap for like an hour! Someone said I was snoring, but I don't believe them! Then we [finished] at about 10 o'clock. [My friend and I] just ran around the set for about half an hour, 'cause we were both really wired. We ate too much candy.

Russell drove us back, and we had In-N-Out Burgers for the first time. I've never had those--we don't have those in Canada. I get really sick at night if I eat too much before I go to bed, so I just had a plain cheeseburger and a strawberry milk shake. I went back to the hotel and I called my dad and sister, [while] I watched the sports channel for, like, a half hour to see if my Canadian teams won. Then I listened to some music. [Russell]'s really into, like, the hard-core stuff, so I'm kind of getting into that now. Then, finally, I went to bed at, like, 12:30 or 1 o'clock. Whew!
